7 - 8 April 2012 - Bhavana Day

Dear Friends,

Mind is the fore runner of our daily actions. We need to rejuvenate and sharpen our mind to make it focused and clear to manoeuvre our life in a wholesome direction. Just like a business investment, we need to invest from a position of strength, and same with the mind, we have to allow ourselves to take time off to clear our mind of impurities.

To facilitate and promote mental well-being, we have invited Sayalay Susila to conduct a two-day-one-night meditation retreat at Nalanda Centre. Details are as below:

Date: 7 – 8 April 2012, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 8am (Saturday) till 6pm (Sunday)

Sayalay Susila started practising meditation during her university time in 1988. In 1994, she began to learn Meditation, Abhidhamma, Suttas and Pali from the renowned Pa Auk Sayadaw at Pa Auk Meditation Centre in Myanmar, where she continued to practise for 14 years.

Participants will learn about Anapanasati (meditation on breathing) on the first day of the retreat, and Vipassana (insight) meditation on the second day.

Registration for the retreat is required. Do seize the opportunity to participate and please e-mail your full name, gender, mailing address and handphone number to sandra@nalanda.org.my or call 03-8938 1500 or 016 202 5319 to register.

Bhavana Day is freely available to all who are keen to learn meditation. However, any amount of donation to support the continuation of this programme is much appreciated.

We look forward to your participation in this retreat towards the attainment of peace and bliss.
