23 October 2011 - Service Sunday

Time : 9.00am
Venue : Nalanda Centre [ Location Map ]
Programme : Meditation, Offering, Chanting & Dhamma Sharing

Dear friends,

Courage is the ability to be strong and determined in the face of adversities and challenges in life.  When anxiety, fear, pain, and even death are confronting us, can we face all these courageously?

The Service Sunday will start with a short meditation session, offering and chanting.  During the Service, Dr. Phang Cheng Kar will be giving a talk titled “Braving Death – the Courage to Confront Death and Anxiety”.  Dr. Phang is a senior medical lecturer at the UPM Medical School, and a psychiatrist at the Kuala Lumpur and Kajang Hospitals.  He is also the Founder and President of the Kuala Lumpur Buddhist Mental Health Association (BMHA).

Service Sunday is the time for communal gathering and learning the dhamma collectively to benefit oneself and others.  So, bring along your family members and friends.

We welcome your participation on this Sunday.
