Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which one person shares knowledge, skills, information, and perspective to foster human growth.  A mentor is a learning leader and a mentee is someone who is seeking guidance from the identified mentor.

Mentoring process include the following steps :
1. Mentee assessment
2. Identify strengths, developmental needs and goals
3. Mentor and mentee first meeting : get acquainted and setting the expectation
4. Continue with the partnership
5. Final evaluation

In this course, besides flashback of 'mentoring', Dr. Ong See Yew also covered the following agenda :
1. Living and leading with a purpose
2. Pursuing a win-win relationship
3. Team building and team synergy

Dr. Ong See Yew gave the three-hour intensive course to the participants.
Relaxation session before the commencement of the course.
"1st position - Imagine that you are at your own funeral and you are lying in a casket...
What will you be thinking about yourself at that time?"
This is an action learning on our self-evaluation.
"2nd position - Imagine that you are at your funeral, and there are many relatives and friends around.
What will be others' comments about you?"
This is an action learning about our emotional connection with others.
"3rd position - Imagine that you are standing beside a Buddha,
what will the Buddha say about you?"
This is an action learning about our spiritual cultivation.

A Mentor, Teacher, Guide, Coach, (Parents) etc. -
to someone who have raised us up in secular or spiritual aspects,
our deepest gratitude and appreciation ...
