Wesak Highlight - Buddha Jayanti Exhibition

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Buddha Jayanti Exhibition is one of the trademarks of the Nalanda’s Wesak Observation. Organized annually by the students and facilitators of Nalanda Vidyalaya, the Dharma School for teenagers, the exhibition features original hand-crafted art pieces coupled with relevant activities to enhance visitors’ learning experience.

This year, the exhibition theme centers on ‘Buddhism in Asia’. The art pieces on display and activities will shed lights on the spread of Buddhism from India to other parts of Asia, where 3 major traditions - Mahayana, Theravada and the Vajrayana - thrive today.

The Buddha Jayanti Exhibition will be held on 28-30 May 2010 at 10am-6pm daily at Nalanda Centre, Level 4. The exhibition is suitable for audience of all ages and admission is free. For more information on the exhibition, please contact Sis Sugandha Ooi at +6013.456.3707 or Nalanda office at +603.8938.1500/1501.

In addition, volunteers are needed for Wesak Observance programmes at Nalanda. If you wish to offer your service, kindly contact Sis Nandini Tan at +6016.383.3982. You may also visit www.nalanda.org.my/wesak for other Wesak programmes.

Thank you.
