Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Namo Buddhaya!
In collaboration with Dama Orchestra, a multiple award-winning music group, Nalanda Buddhist Society (Nalanda) will host a Charity Musical “I Have a Date with Spring” on 10 October 2009, 8:00pm, at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac). The proceeds from the musical will go towards Nalanda Building and Development Fund, specifically for Nalanda’s new 4-storey Education Centre located in Sri Serdang, Selangor.
Nalanda’s mission since inception is to provide quality Dhamma education for personal spiritual growth and peaceful community development. Over the past six years, Nalanda has been earnestly organizing numerous educational programmes, aiming at becoming one of the centres of excellence for Dhamma learning in this region.
Since the establishment of Nalanda Institute in 2007, more than 2300 participants including young professionals and executives have benefited from the courses and trainings, which were offered freely to the public. To cater for the growing needs of our community, Nalanda is committed to expand and upgrade its current facilities for a more comfortable and effective learning environment.
The new building project costs RM2.3 million. As of 31 July 2009, we are still short of about RM1.0 million. We hereby humbly appeal to you and your esteemed organization to support this worthy cause by sponsoring or purchasing tickets for the Musical. Your generous support will enable Nalanda to further promote the proper learning and understanding of Dhamma through systematic and holistic education.
